The method is based on the activation of the human nervous system reserve capacities by means of action with a weak impulse current adequate to the brain biological currents, in an individual mode for each patient in accordance with his or her disease and the organism reactivity. Therefore the method is quite physiological, does not induce no worsening of the condition, complications, or undesirable side effects. The method is successfully used for treatment of adults and children. The youngest patient of the Centre was 2-month old, and the oldest one was 96-year old.
The treatment involves 10 to 20 sessions 20 to 50 minutes each , conducted either under outpatient conditions or at patient's home. The sessions are conducted daily or every other day. Thus the whole treatment course may take 10 to 40 days. In most cases, more ES treatment courses for medical rehabilitation will be necessary, repeated with the intervals from 3 months to 1 year.
The treatment is performed with the aid of specialized multichannel electric stimulator developed in compliance with our medical-technological output programme. Multicontact electrodes are connected with the stimulator, the electrodes are placed upon various head areas according to the brain zone under activation.
All rights for the methodare protected with patents of the RF u2102956 of 27 January 1998, u 2141293 of 20 November 1999.
The development of the method started over 20 years ago. Both the method and the apparatuses for its application are constantly improved. More details about the method can be found in the following publications:
